Well i’m standing in a puddle in the rain/my shoes have no heels and my socks are soaked through/tonight there’s a full moon above/i can see it through the glow of the lamppost/it’s official everyone quit the band/if they haven’t left the island they’ll be getting hitched soon/and it’s left me standing in the rubble of the last couple months of my life/do you remember the story of Peter and the wolf or is it my imagined glory?/well it hardly seems to matter anyway/they both always end up the same/did i know this would be how it would end?/at twenty-two years old it’s far as we go/should i sit and watch black and white films where these young pioneers live forever?
